The GAA has vowed to get to the bottom of the ticket rip-off which has seen at least eight tickets go on sale on an internet auction site. Up to Friday night eight tickets were for sale on the eBay website from five different sources with each of the tickets being sold for well above face value (60 euros). Two Canal Stand tickets with a face value price of 120 euros were on sale on the website for 240 euros.Former Kerry All-Ireland SFC winner Jimmy Deenihan has condemned the practice as ’obscene’.”Something must be done to stop touts creating a black market out of every sporting occasion,” the Fine Gael spokesman on sport said. The GAA has pledged a crackdown on the touts.”If this ticket comes from an official GAA source and is selling for prices above the agreed amount, we will investigate it and ensure that no more tickets come that person’s way,” a GAA spokesperson said.
