€5m for Dublin House
Published September 26th, 2005
One of the most expensive houses on sale in Dublin at the moment is the house of former Attorney-General and senior counsel Colm Condon.
Sorrento, on Nerano Road in Dalkey, is in the €5m price range. The house has great views of Dalkey Island from the reception rooms and some of the six bedrooms.
Condon was the government lawyer during the Arms Trial, which prosecuted Charles Haughey, Neil Blaney and others for the alleged importation of arms into the state. More recently, however, he represented Charles Haughey and his family in his ongoing battles with the Moriarty tribunal.
The house, Sorrento, is for sale by private treaty by Galway auctioneer Helen Cassidy. Given that Sorrento is set on 0.75 of an acre, with frontage on to Nerano Road and Green Road, builders as well as owner-occupiers are likely to be interested.
