RBS bids for Hilton hotels

Royal Bank of Scotland is the favourite to win an auction of 18 hotels put up for sale by Hilton Group, according to a press report.
RBS is in the running alongside three other principal bidders including Host Marriott, Citibank, Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers, says the Times.
Hilton wants to sell the hotels through a sale-and-manage-back deal.
The hotels being sold are all in the UK and Ireland.
They include the Hilton Aberdeen Treetops, the Hilton Coventry, the Hilton Southampton, the Hilton Belfast and the Hilton London Olympia.
