Patrick Leonard paintings for James Adam & Sons Dublin auction

Published April 22nd, 2006

Over 200 works from the studio of recently deceased Dublin artist Patrick Leonard, HRHA, come under the hammer on Wednesday, providing a unique opportunity to purchase paintings from this fine painter.

The lots on offer have been hand-picked from Leonard’s personal collection, making the retrospective an exclusive opportunity for art enthusiasts to view and buy from the artist’s most notable works.

Ranging in estimate from €800-€8,000 for important oils and large pastels, the collection encompasses 60 years’ painting, starting from Leonard’s early harvesting and threshing scenes of the late 30s, to nostalgic beach scenes of north Co Dublin of the 40s and 50s, and his later views on life in the 80s.
