U2 sue in Irish High Court

Published October 18th, 2006

Bono testified Tuesday in an Irish High Court appeal how an ex-stylist stole and tried to sell U2 memorabilia - including his iconic Stetson cowboy hat.

”It’s our stuff, she has it, and a lot more beside,” Bono said of the fashion consultant, Lola Cashman. “We want our stuff back.”

Cashman, described by Bono as an eccentric pain in the neck, says she received the gifts while advising U2 during its “Joshua Tree” world tour in 1987-88.

U2 sued Cashman in 2002 after she tried to sell the band’s clothes and photos at a London auction house. She was ordered to return the items
