HIV self-test kits on online auction sites may be ‘defective’

Potentially defective medical kits, which allow people to test themselves for HIV, have been placed on the Irish market, the Irish Medicines Board (IMB) has warned.

Titanic life vest sells for £43,500 at UK auction

A lifejacket from the “Titanic” has sold at auction in Britain for £43,500.
The rare item, recovered from the debris of the 1912 disaster, had been expected to fetch £25,000 - £35,000.

70% of houses fail to sell at auction

Only seven of the 43 houses auctioned yesterday sold either under the hammer or immediately afterwards - an abysmal result that will force estate agents and vendors to reassess prices. Altogether, it’s been a washout week in the auction rooms with over 70 per cent of properties failing to sell.
