Scenic West Cork land on market

The property with the most obvious development potential is located beside the beautiful village of Glandore.

The 54-acre non-residential farm is in the townland of Drombeg, which runs close to the village.

The farm was described by Mr O’Leary as generally being “good quality farmland”, though it has a few acres of rough grazing.

However, the real value of this property may lie in its location rather than in the agricultural potential of the land, given that one of the farm’s fields is situated close to the parish church.

“It has extensive road frontage and given the location this farm could prove an exceptional investment should planning permission be obtained even for just one house,” Mr O’Leary claimed.

Mr O’Leary maintained that the guide price of €1.5m reflects the current price for agricultural land in West Cork. The property is being sold by private treaty.

Meanwhile, a guide price of €650,000 is being quoted by the same auctioneer for a 55-acre holding at Mahonagh, Skibberreen.

The farm, which boasts fantastic views over Roaring Water Bay, is being sold subject to planning permission being granted for one house.
