IAVI Broadcasting Complaint Rejected
Published August 11th, 2007
The Broadcasting Complaints Commission today rejected a complaint of impartiality against a RTE programme on the property market earlier this year.
‘Future Shock: Property Crash’, broadcast on RTÉ One last April, examined a range of future possible scenarios regarding the Irish property market.
The programme looked, in context, at the possibility that property prices in Ireland might fall in the future.
The Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute made a formal complaint to the Broadcasting Complaints Commission, claiming that the programme had not been impartial and had a detrimental affect on the property market.
