Important international antiques auction for Durrow

One of the most important antique and fine art sales in Ireland takes place in Co Laois on Tuesday.
“The Legacy of the Big House” takes place in Sheppard’s Irish Auction House in Durrow at 11 o’clock on the day.
The international event kicked off with a gallery talk on Early Irish Maps at three o’clock this afternoon, Sunday, which was delivered by Prof Patrick Duffy of NUI Maynooth.
Previews of almost 1000 items including antiques, fine art and jewellery from important collections are taking place all weekend.
