Wilsons Auctions is investing £2m in expanding its operations in the UK and Ireland, its Telford and Queensferry sites will double their capacity.

Wilsons has also announced a new partnership with Jet Logistics which will see the creation of a new de-fleeting facility at its existing site in Stratford, meaning fleet cars to be refurbished and sold on the same site.

“The expansion of both Telford and Queensferry is exciting and gives the staff at both complexes the opportunity to double the throughput at each site, enabling Wilsons Auctions to target fleet vendors who want a fresh approach to fleet sales in the UK,” said Peter Johnston, group operations director.

Wilsons says it is the largest independent auction business in Great Britain and Ireland with sites in Mallusk and Portadown in Northern Ireland, Dublin in Ireland, Dalry in Scotland, Queensferry in Wales and Telford in England.
